UPDATED: MAY 8, 2017 Not too different from the thirsty beaver. Good flavour and would definitely buy it again.

This ale poured a medium Amber colour with a quick living, off white, creamy head. Minimal lacing. Scents include cream, vanilla and malt. First swig was a little bit watery but had a beautiful malt flavour. A little hoppy at the beginning but soon turns malty with a nice grassy flavour. Finish is medium bitter with malt lingering.

Can 0,50L. Almost clear, orange color with small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruits like mango and orange, there is caramel, too. Taste starts light bitter and fruity, while the finish gets some more bitterness, but still has a lot of fruits and caramel. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Quite good brew...

Can. Mostly clear amber pour with a thin white head. Aroma is mostly caramel with a bit of a coppery note. Flavour has more going on - caramel, light citrus, slight grassy notes and a touch metallic. Pretty unremarkable.

Golden pour. Fairly muted aroma and flavour. Lighter Citrus Hops and caramel malt with neither fairly prominent. Certainly nothing remarkable

Clear amber pour with small white head. Aroma of malts, slight caramel, faint hops and slight citrus. Taste of caramel, lemon citrus, grains, malts and faint hops. Light bodied, fizzy carbonation, slightly metallic aftertaste.

473 ml can from the LCBO.

Appearance: Pours a clear copper colour with over two fingers of white head. Good retention and lots of sticky lacing left behind.

Aroma: Bit of malt and citrus.

Flavours: Tons of caramel malt with a nice bit of grapefruit in the background.

Mouthfeel: Creamy and smooth with lots of carbonation.

Overall: A really nice Pale Ale with full throttle caramel malts and a bit of grapefruit to balance things. Well done!

HKdIPA (863) - HONG KONG - JUL 11, 2015
Tallboy can from LCBO in Ottawa. Clear gold amber pour with minimal white head. Aroma is malty with some woodsy hops. Taste is very malty with some woody pine hops and crisp carbonation. Very bready malt. Not as much hoppiness as the label ("west coast ale") suggests. Not bad. Wouldn't get again.

500ml can. Clear dark golden body, medium white head, average to poor retention. Aroma is a bit dusty: honey, grains, flowers, lemongrass. Taste of fruits, grains, honey, metallic notes. Drinkable.
