Cloudy orange and gold in colour with medium carbonation. Potent aromas of banana, clove, and gum-drops. Good wheaty thickness on the palate. Some fairly assertive yeast flavors to this one, not to mention grainy. The lemony-banana fruit flavors are more reserved. There are some grassy hop notes on the back end as well, with a slightly drying finish. This one is very close to being excellent. The aroma, the body, and the potency of the flavors are there, but it’s just a bit too yeasty and dry. At least it’s not sweet or watery like some other attempts at this style. Many thanks to Presario for the tasty extra. BeerPrince (1701) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 10, 2006
I found this at Lennox Oakes. Nice hazy body with lasting head. Lots of banana and wheat in the nose which carries on through the flavour. Lots of wheat and malt, this ones thick and quite tasty with just the right sweetness. Nice cloying finish. Will drink again for sure. Cloudy yellow. Fresh, big malty aroma. Full body. Well-proportioned banana, sugar and spice. Love the big maltiness. Quality hefe...why not in Vancouver? presario (4925) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 7, 2006
Cloudy orange with a thick fluffy head. Refreshing citrus aroma with strong orange notes with trailing banana scent. Zesty mouth feel. Turns creamy as it warms. Orange flavours at first and then more banana. Soft pepper or cloves in the finish. Sweet, enjoyable and refreshing. TipsyMcStager (1139) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 26, 2006
spicy yeast aroma, banana, light pepper. Pours a cloudy orange-yellow with thick head. Mid range banana flavours, yeasty, acids in the finish. Solid hefe.

Yellow and cloudy, very much so if you agitate the last third of the bottle before finishing the pour. A massive merangue of a head. Aromas of banana and vanilla bean and a bit of fresh citrus. Light palate packed with flavours of banana, orange, and vanilla cookie. This is the best german-style hefe not made in Germany that I’ve ever had. Truly excellent. Poured a cloudy yellow with a strong banana phenol aroma. Mountainous head stayed for a good half hour. Citrusy and fruity in the mouth, mostly banana, maybe a little apple. What really made this one good was the wheat malt backbone-too often absent in the Hefes I’ve tried. In this case it provided a cookie-like accoutrement to the tart and fecundatious wheat tang.
