Bottle from the brewery. Very hazy pastel yellow body with a modest white head. Nice yeasty banana aroma. (7+) Tart flavour, surprisingly bitter finish showing the hop presence, more of the yeasty banana character. (7+) Average to medium palate. (3+) Surprisingly good - one of their better offerings for sure. GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 1, 2007
Bottle shared with tupalev, jerc & mabel - courtesy of jerc & mabel. Hazy yellow-gold with a good sized white head. Aroma is great - yeasty and spicy, with a good hit of banana. Medium mouthfeel with a good carbonation level. Flavour is solid, pretty much right on point for the style - banana, clove, yeast and bubblegum notes - albeit a bit hoppier in the finish than most hefes. Very nice! jsquire (4490) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - OCT 24, 2007
Cloudy yellow beer with a fluffy white head and a very spicey nose that was hot enough that it reminded me of a match strike. Cloves, pepper, bananas, and bready malts. I did the yeast shot as well. Nice Hefe. Thanks to my Secret Santa for the bottle. JoeMcPhee (9427) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 15, 2007
660 ml bomber. Very cloudy, almost opaque orange-yellow beer and a thin white head. Big bright banana and clove aroma. Full sweet/spicy wheaty aroma. Light bubble gum. Palate is quite full, fresh and wheaty with lots of clove and bubble gum. Light banana and clove. Wheaty with a touch of floral flavour/aroma as well. Warming brings up some very faint smoky phenols. It’s a very well-crafted hefeweizen. JoeZasada (317) - Beaumont, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 14, 2007
UPDATED: DEC 13, 2007 Smells of spicy yeast. Pours to a slightly cloudy golden color with moderate head. Tastes of bananas and is somewhat ’creamy’. Careful when pouring, there is some yeast in the bottom. This is an excellent Hefeweizen!

(Bottle) Pours a cloudy golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of potent lemon zest upfront and then trails with banana bread, light clove, and bubble gum. Flavor of banana, wheat, and lemon. mullet2007 (209) - St. Johns, Newfoundland, CANADA - JUN 25, 2007
First off, there was yeast in the bottom of this bottle! Then, it poured dark yellow to slightly golden with a giant thick fluffy white head that left lacing galore. Aroma is slightly spicy, with yeasty notes. Flavor is reasonably sweet, with a bitter aftertaste and some lightly fruity notes. Carbonation is low to medium, but pleasant. Thanks Presario! mgermani (1002) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 17, 2007
Looks like apple cider, with a creamy off-white head and nice lace. Pungent aroma - spicy wheat-malt smell. Excellent taste - wonderful subtle wheat malt flavour, pear, cloves, nice warming finish. Excellent creamy body with perfect carbonation. This is by far my favourite wheat beer - well done Tree! beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 12, 2007
Pours a hazy light orange color with a ring of offwhite lace. Good aroma and flavor of bananas and bubble-gum. The body is medium with a creamy texture and expansive carbonation. The yeast is very flavorfull in this hefe, I like it. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 19, 2007
UPDATED: JUN 12, 2008 Bomber from a Burnaby liquor store.
App.: cloudy medium straw, small white, foamy head. Aroma: a strangely artificial banana aroma, like banana pudding or popsicles. Sort of a dirty yeastiness behind that...way behind that. Palate: medium body, a touch syrupy, fairly soft yet effervescent carbonation. Flav.: slightly better banana esters, more yeasty, a little spice, nice yeastiness on swallowing but lacks much complexity.

650 ml bottle from Sherbrooke Liquor (Edmonton), served cold in a wine glass.
App.: Fairly deep golden, slightly cloudy, a nice white foam that sits proud of the glass (a hallmark of good Weizen).
Aroma: Lots of yeast and damp bread dough, some peppery spiciness, some banana and clove esters, a sour note that isn’t welcome, a green herbal note that also isn’t welcome in this style (Saison-like), light brown sugar.
Palate: Medium-ish body and fairly lively effervescence.
Flav.: Much more banana/clove ester than the nose, still some yeast, none of the sourness or bitter greens detected on the nose, some caramel and borwn sugar; off-dry with no bitterness and a little lingering ester.
Loses points for the aroma but the flavour is decent.
