Jayseppi (159) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 2, 2012
Awesome hazy orange colour with a white cap that quickly fades down to a ring with some wisps across the top. Banana and clove and some other spices in the aroma. Great flavour. Banana an almost citrusy elemnt and some good biscuity malt going on. Fluffly and light across the palate without much carbonation.

Yellow and cloudy, very much so if you agitate the last third of the bottle before finishing the pour. A massive merangue of a head. Aromas of banana and vanilla bean and a bit of fresh citrus. Light palate packed with flavours of banana, orange, and vanilla cookie. This is the best german-style hefe not made in Germany that I’ve ever had. Truly excellent.

HazelRah (276) - Summerland, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 22, 2006
Poured a cloudy yellow with a strong banana phenol aroma. Mountainous head stayed for a good half hour. Citrusy and fruity in the mouth, mostly banana, maybe a little apple. What really made this one good was the wheat malt backbone-too often absent in the Hefes I’ve tried. In this case it provided a cookie-like accoutrement to the tart and fecundatious wheat tang.

(650ml bottle) Purchased at Spinnakers Bottle Shop. Pours a medium, white frothy head with a lively body of carbonation in a hazy golden body. The nose is somewhat yeasty though the banana esters in the flavour and oats make quite an appearance. As mentioned below, not too sweet or watery... its pretty bang on. Very good.

Cloudy yellow. Fresh, big malty aroma. Full body. Well-proportioned banana, sugar and spice. Love the big maltiness. Quality hefe...why not in Vancouver?

Bottle shared with northropfrye. A nice sweet hefeweizen, perfect for a hot autumn day.

Poured into a 500ml Weihenstephan glass. Gorgeous amber/copper pour with a big white head. Loads of banana, clove, and bubblegum. Great yeasty phenols and light citrus. Solid carb, and spot on mouthfeel. Yeasty finish with loads of bananas, and a medium bitter finish. Outstanding example of the style, rivals it’s German counterparts.
