3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
0.65l bottle from LCBO, served in a hefe glass. Pours a cloudy orange, medium, frothy white head, lots of bubbles. Aroma: Banana, lemon, wheat, yeast, cloves. Smells like a proper hefe. Palate: medium bodied, smooth, fizzy, slightly dry finish. Taste: Sweet, with quite a spicy finish. For a north american wheat beer, I really like it. Similar to Hacker-Pschorr or Paulaner, but spicier.
Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a frothy white head. Aroma of banana and cloves with the balance going towards the sweet banana esthers. Taste is sweet banana esthers mixed with spicy peppery cloves that are in good balance but cloves give a bit of a bitter bite. Overall a nice refreshing hefe. "A limited edition release as per bottle label. Poured a creamy head and looks very thick. A golden yellow appearance. A banana aroma that I get. A spicy mouthfeel, a bit sour and flavour comprised of wheat, a bit of fruits and yeast. It’s unpasteurized, has no preservatives and is only brewed in small batches. Pretty good for my tastes." Bouteille 650ml.

The beer poured a hazed golden orange with a long lasting foamy white head. The aroma was banana, clove, and citrus. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is wheat and yeast with some spices. An alright beer.
Classic looking hefe, aroma is pretty strong banana and clove. Really acidic, heavily carbed but nice wheat and banana and clove and various other spices. Pretty good but hard to drink without letting it settle a while first.

bottle shared with VT. cloudy pale yellow-greyish with a decent white head, some retention and lacing. off-aroma of ash. some spices, faint bananas and tropicalness, raw wheat, metal, celery. prickly, almost offensive carbonation, light body, decent grassy-citrusy finish, very lightly acidic. very disappointing. 650 ml bottle from czar, shared with czar and friends. Very foggy, yellowish with short-lasting white head. Smell is banana and cloves. Taste is fruity, tropical fruits, wheat, dry, touch of bananas, but mostly cloves. Finish is herbal, floral hops, some acidity in it. Mostly due to the heavy carbonation. Body is light, somewhat watery. Carbonation is exaggeratedly high. Good, no more. MarkoR (959) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 4, 2012

650ml bottle, hazy honey gold hue, with a thick frothy pillowy white head, nice fruity banana, spicy cinnamon, clove, yeasty nose, with a doughy, honeyed wheat, pale, toasted malt note, with some faint apple, pear, lemon peel esters, and a subtle floral leafy hop note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp yeasty fruity bananaish, doughy, pale wheaty maltiness character, with a honeyish faint ripe apple, apple sauce, cinnamon, clove, vanilla spicy flavors, leading towards a yeasty, doughy, faint spritzy lemon acidic, wheat maltiness finish. sulawang (1168) - - OCT 11, 2012
pours cloudy orange with a decent head, foamy retention, not much CO2 action. Strong notes of bananas and cloves on the nose. Drinks with a mellow sourness up front, 4/10-sweetness, transitions into a dry & creamy mouthfeel, somewhat thin/watery backdrop, tastes of banana, cloves, yeast, light malts, bread, finishing with a sour tang. Medium complexity, medium depth, good transitions, okay carry, okay drinkability. Unremarkable.
