Amber with orange tinges. Aromas of pine, hops, some fruit. Bitter, but well balanced. I liked the full body and lingering finish. Great beer. andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - JAN 2, 2013
Pours an amber colour with a slight orange tinge. Big white head that dissipates but leaves a healthy ring and lace covering the entire glass. Aroma is mostly pine, some grassiness, some citrus, and some sweet malts. Flavours are pine, grapefruit, grassy, earthy, dry finish. So well balanced the 8.2 abv is hardly noticeable. stantheman (1101) - British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 29, 2012
On tap at O’Hares in Steveston. Golden reddish amber color. Hops on the nose. Big hops with solid malt backing on the tongue. Long, bitter aftertaste. Yum! Reimer96 (1778) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 14, 2012
Pours a clear orangish amber with a nice off white hat that leaves sticky lace. Aroma is a nice burst of grassy & piney notes with some sweet malts. Taste is a lot of pine & grass with some resin, biscuit and grapefruit. Extremely well balanced for an 8% dipa.

UPDATED: DEC 19, 2012 An excellent IPA. If you like Tree?s standard, you?ll love this double!600ml bottle. Beautiful amber pour with thick off-white foamy head. The aroma hits you in the face like a trip through the pine forests of Canada! Very hoppy with loads of other complexities... citrus peel, resin, and perfectly bitter and balanced. I love this beer! Great combination of the citrus and pine with the strong caramel malt make this an excellent example of a NW DIPA. I often find the style too strong for me, just like the spiciest of chili sauces, so it was nice that this didn’t go too far. Extreme flavour here. Bomber poured a clear orange amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, pine and light grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, earthiness, pine and light grapefruit with a crisp dry bitter lingering earthy finish. shaynsawchuk (713) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 10, 2012
650 mL bottle. Pours a deep amber with a thick off white head, lots of lacing here. Pine, honey, lavender, citrus and soap on the nose. Big and sweet followed by a bracing quantity of hops, big bitter finish. Waxy on the palate, lots of carbonation. Enjoyable on its own, probably better with some spicy south east asian food.
