The name says it all...a full bodied India Pale Ale brewed for those that take their hops so seriously, they are referred to as ’Hop Heads’. Brewed year round since 1999, HopHead IPA is our Signature beer and was the first ’serious’ IPA to be crafted for wide consumption by a Canadian brewery. Considered risky business for a small Canadian craft brewer at the time, it is now considered to have been ahead of its time by leading the charge into brewing full flavoured IPA’s. Intense hop aroma with a complex malt/hop profile. Snappy bitterness with a very dry finish.

Malt: Pale, Light Munich, Vienna, Crystal
Hops: Perle, Centennial, Cascade, Columbus, Crystal

A really nicely done IPA from beautiful Kelowna BC, purchased in a 355mL bottle from the Ontario LCBO. Lots of hoppy grapefruit in the aroma. A small head that disappears daily quickly. Nice lacing. On the palate there's some fruit amidst modest carbonation. Long pleasant finish. Excellent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, pours a light amber, a light hoppy aroma, taste is piney and a light citrus, nice offering.

Bottle 0,33L. Slightly hazy, orange to light amber colour with thick, off-white head. Aroma of pine, orange, grapefruit and some caramel. Medium to full body, average carbonation, medium bitterness. Easy drinkable and refreshing with nice hoppy caracter.

On draught at Christie’s, Victoria. Deep amber/light copper with slight white head. Nose is citrus and pine. Flavour is piney, orange, hop petrol/cat piss, bitter, dry finish. A bitter-forward IPA rather than aroma-forward, and though I prefer the latter this was good for what it is. They claim in the product description "without the hoppiness being too overpowering" but I definitely found it more bitter than most for non-imperial IPAs... the style may have shifted towards aromas since this was first brewed.

330ml bottle. Pours a crystal clear copper colour with a fluffy, two and a half finger off-white head that thins to a film and clings all over the glass. Aroma a bit floral with notes of bready malt, pine, and hints of citrus fruit. Taste is a balanced bitter with a smooth aftertaste. Low-medium body and carbonation. Smooth, slightly slick, mouth feel but still pretty clean and refreshing. Overall pretty good. Has a solid malt backbone to stand up to the hops. Lots of flavour and a good mouth feel. Not the hoppiest beer but still good. Would buy again for sure to change it up.

Amber color with off white head that disappears relatively quickly. Aroma of bold floral with some less prominent citrus hops, some pine in there as well. As expected, the taste is nicely bitter, and certainly characterizes the beer. A very nice IPA, If your in the area, it’s certainly worth a try.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2015 Bottle. Cloudy golden amber pour with a white head. Aroma is a little resinous, tropical fruit notes as well. Flavour is a bit sweet up front, finishes more bitter. Not particularly hoppy for an IPA but a decent balance. Fairly full bodied and flavourful.

Very enjoyable ipa lots if hop bitterness. With a nice malt notes in the background. The hops definatly take the lead in this brew. Which I like. A lot.
