COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our single hop exploration of low alcohol beers continues in Monson with the fresh crop of 2013 Citra! This one explodes with notes of citrus on the nose and the palate, and finishes cleanly with light bits of cracker malt. Someone forgot to tell it that it’s only 4.1% alcohol. Dangerous. . .!

A 1 pint can, canned on 30th June 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was a hazy golden yellow orange colour with a big three finger white head that had decent retention and left nice sticky lacing. Aroma was a very nice tangy and citrusy grapefruit and orange zest with hints of tropical mango plus a touch of breadiness. Taste was a good balance of citrus and tropical fruitiness with grapefruit, mandarin sweetness, pineapple and lightly under ripe mango with a touch of bread and cracker on the finish. Light to medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Overall more body than expected, but other than that, this was a very nice and refreshing beer that is definitely sessionable.

8/VIII/17 - 1Pt. can mentioning "Citra, citra, citra!" on the bottom, from a trade, shared @ Help-Me-Get-to-10K-In-Time-Tasting 1 - BB: n/a, canned: VI/6/17 (2017-1188) Thanks to Ryan for the trade!

Little cloudy blond beer, huge frothy off-white to yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a lot of lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots and lots of citrus, lots of grapefruit as well, some pineapple juice, very fruity! MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, hoppy, citrus, bit watery, some grapefruit, more citrus, pineapple notes. Aftertaste: bit grassy, lots of grapefruit, hoppy touch, very bitter, bit resinous, lots of fruits, some pineapple. Wondering why this is categorized as a Golden Ale, rather than a Session IPA...

Pale yellow pour, decent sized white head, lacing. Lighter citrus (grapefruit rind), balanced out with a biscuit like malt in the aroma and taste. Lighter body. Decent sessioner.

Tallboy can from Tracy G. Poured a thinner body deeply hazed bright pale yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma/flavor of grassy hops, citrus notes, grains, copper in the aroma and some rotten dough in the flavor. Not impressed.

16 oz. shared by Chalumeaux. Pour is slightly hazy golden with lasting white head and sticky lacing. Aroma is pineapple, papaya, grass, and light citrus.

Taste is juicy Citra hops all the way through. Nice soft airy mouthfeel. Very easy to drink. The hop is displayed nicely and is very flavorful but... Would I stand in line to buy 4 cans of this?? No I would not. Not sure why everyone is so crazy about Treehouse. Good for what a golden ale is but.... Yeah.

16oz can shared by Chalumeaux. Thanks, TJ! Dated 03/10/17. Pours orange yellow with a few off white bubbles. Aroma is grapefruit, white grape. Flavor is light, juicy with tangerine, grapefruit. Grapefruit peel bitterness in the finish. A touch watery, but that’s not surprising at 4%.
