Draft: Careful, extremely drinkable with full body and malty taste. The 9.8% are very well hidden in this delicious brew. Food Pairing: Schweinshaxe.
A clear red ale with a light cream head. Plenty of sweet malt in the aroma. Toast, light cocoa, and slight hints of red fruit. A little alcohol in the finish. MrBunn (2867) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2017
Bottle. Pour is a fairly thin-looking reddish copper with very little head and cola like carbonation sticking to the sides of the glass. Aromas are boozy with an almost cherry-like fruitiness to them. Flavor is harshly boozy, especially up front. Fishing is a little smoother with a pleasant grainy caramel edge to it, but this is tough sledding for a barley wine. anders37 (27577) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 22, 2016

Bottle from Iliste, thanks a lot! Izio (86) - GERMANY - OCT 10, 2014
Clear amber with a off white head.
Aroma is mostly sweet with malt, some ripe fruit and some faint alcohol.
Sweet taste with caramel malt and herbal bitterness. No alcohol.
Medium verging on full body, soft carbonation, smooth mouth feel.
Dry after taste.
Enjoyable, though more like an Old Ale/British Barley Wine than an American Barley Wine. Interesting to try a Costa Rican beer!
Color ambar oscuro. Buena carbonatacion para una ale. Espuma algo escaza y poco estable para una ale. Aroma a lupulo y sabor a malta tostada. Cuerpo ligero. Declara casi 10% de alcohol, donde? No lo tiene y no es por estar bien balanceada. Draft en bar stiefel @ san jose, CR
