Can in Yuvalim. Clear straw color with a white head. Aroma of grains, corn, some hay, and a cardboard touch. Sweetish grainy corny flavor, with a cardboard note and a drier and slightly bitterish finish. Light-bodied. Senka (1093) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 3, 2015
50cl can. Simple pale lager that you do not want to write anything about. Gently sweet. Drinkable when extra cold. Not revolting, but never again. YantarCoast (1515) - Moscow, RUSSIA - AUG 4, 2015
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2016 500ml bottle, ABV is 4.5%, label lists a different ГОСТ (standard according to which the beer is made) - on the previous label the 1979 USSR standard was listed, on this bottle it’s the Russian Federation one. Pours clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is grain, straw. Taste is slightly sweet, minimal hops. Another bland Zhiguli. Zarkam (539) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 20, 2015
500ml bottle from supermarket in Torfyanovka, clear pale yellow colour, small frothy mostly vanishing white head, fair lacing. Moderately malty sweet aroma of hay and caramel with some butterscotch and a touch of floral hops. Taste is initially lightly sweet and acidic, turning into an abrupt sweet and sour finish with a little bitterness. Light to medium body, dry mouthfeel, lively carbonation. A bit more interesting than the stuff of this kind usually is mainly due to a small amount of yeast esthers. Quack-Duck (9533) - Down South, GERMANY - FEB 10, 2015
can from local Russian store. Clear golden yellow, fluffy but persistant white head. Grainy malty start, some dusty hops present, shy grassy hints. Carbonation is lively in the beginning, but quite flat after a few minutes. Shy lactic acidity in the far distance.
