Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - DEC 4, 2013
0.5 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Golden color. Sweetish honeyish aroma. Dryish honeyish, bready and metallic taste. Light body. Metallic taste is quite disturbing.

Zarkam (539) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 29, 2013
500ml bottle from supermarket in Vyborg, clear gold colour, small white head. Rather weird sweet basementy aroma, of butter, honey and cheese with some cough drop, cereal and grass thrown in. Medium and oily body, sour and bitter finish. Certainly one of the strangest tasting brews I’ve encountered in Russia, not really that pleasant but drinkable and probably could even be pleasant with a bit less chemical feel, very interesting nonetheless. Probably a different glass than a snifter would’ve helped as the smell was almost overwhelming in it. Should certainly try finding some more of this joint’s products next time over.

djoeye (5070) - Tromsø, NORWAY - SEP 29, 2013
UPDATED: SEP 17, 2014 Scents syrup, sweets, fruits. Head tall vanilla. Amber body. Beautiful grenade bottle. Watery taste, hops, hints of yellow apple, sour distinct notes. Weird mouthfeel. Aftertaste cardboard, bread, sour. Not good. Emptied in drain and saved the bottle. This brewery has a Cheshkoe Barnoe which is better.

edpeg (904) - Berlin, GERMANY - SEP 21, 2013
Pale yellow clear body with white not so dense big head. Aromas is sweet malts, grains and fresh mild hops. Palate is thin with medium weak carbonation and mouth feel. Aftertaste is rather refreshing, mild, little and has medium short weakish hops finish. Very easy to drink and refreshing, but over-toned on sweetness but quite OK when cold to quench your thirst.

thexplorer (410) - Kherson, UKRAINE - SEP 16, 2013
Средний, обычный лагер. Может, чуть лучше,че Чешское Барное.

sinfull (1774) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - SEP 8, 2013
Golden color with mid-sized head. Aroma is malty , milk , hint of hayand metal. Taste is malty sweet , grainy with hops notes. Medium body with high carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

thirstyrabbit (1849) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 8, 2013
Bottle (says 11 instead of 12°). Dark golden body, medium head. Aroma is sweet and milky with some white bread. Interesting. Sweet white-bready taste with the finish turning a bit lactic. Might be off by some standards but its more beery than all the triple filtered lifeless eurolagers that get advertised between football games.

Senka (1090) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 15, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 24, 2016 50cl screw-top bottle, rather fresh brew. Aroma of moist barley, rye bread and some cellar humidity. Pours pale orange, with a white soapy head that lasts for 25 seconds. Sweet sugary base, with som mixture of barley, yeast, hops and motor oil. Medium body for a pale lager, extremely oily ( it gets pretty unpleasant towards the second half of the glass), medium carbonation and dull, thin finish. Not a typical russian pale lager for me - 4% ABV - I do not remember anything similar from Russia. I was surprised with the first few mouthfuls, but unfortunately it got too flat and oily too quickly. I would serve it extra cold, and would not bother about "feeling" nuances. Does not make you want to by a second one, or taste other available beers from the brewery in the same week. Update: 24/03/2016 Abv changed, carbonation is a bit bitter. Thind and crispy. Overall upped by 1p. There are people who like that kind of beer. Served extra cold this time, as noted above - goes down smoothly. But that is it.

Marduk (8206) - Reval, ESTONIA - MAR 30, 2013
500ml bottle. Clear golden color, massive white head. Papery, corny, grainy, sweet aroma. Grainy, papery, malty flavor. Sour notes in palate. Very typical Russian lager.

FatPhil (16891) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 28, 2013
500ml bottle (Regalia, Tallinn) - shared by Marduk - thanks!
Creamed corn, mashy sweet honey grainy, porridgy - popcorny. Watery palate, fizzy. In the mouth this is disgusting with full-on diacetyl backed up with its sister in crime pentanedione, if I interpret that honey sweetness correctly. Papery finish. Wow - this is probably the most flaw-ridden beer I’ve ever had that hasn’t actually gone rancid. They’ve wrapped the diacetyl/pentanedione flaw up as a feature - myagkoe implies the sweet mild taste.
