Quack-Duck (9487) - Down South, GERMANY - MAY 15, 2011
bottle from a a local Russian supermarket. Clear golden yellow, mid-sized white head. Malty, slightly hoppy with a Bohemian character, reminding of a Czech 10° vycepni pivo, a bit milder, perhaps. Good. pivnizub (10728) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - AUG 19, 2011
Bottle from Quack-Duck: Golen, big fluffy white head, mild buttery and woody-hoppy nose; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, not watery; slightly lingering pale-malty and mild hoppy finish. Good by russian standards..... Erzengel (9079) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - DEC 20, 2013
The beer starts malty, slightly grainy. The mainpart is a bit bitter, malty, solid! A bit grainy, but not too much. The aftertaste is long, malty-grainy. Fullbodied, round. Arek (1186) - Zielona Góra & Wrocław, POLAND - JUL 13, 2014
Not bad for a Russian Lager. Drinkable and ok. --> 10/12/9/9
Light gold, highly carbonated beer with big but unstable head and malt aroma. The taste watered and cooling, malt with light bitter at the finish. vinivini (2661) - Gomel, BELARUS - APR 8, 2014
Original bottle. Pale golden beer with filmy head. Aroma of bread, grain, some fruity notes. Light body but not watery palate. The taste has mostly sour character. Also sweet notes are detectable. Malty finish. Some hops in the aftertaste. Acceptable lager

0.5 bottle. Clear, gold color and a complete lack of head. Malty aroma of bread, leaven, and corn. Taste is sweet and malty, very typical and uneventful. Medium body, velvety texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is a tad maltier than the rest but nevertheless pretty mediocre. Overall the beer is just another example that Russians make decent pale lagers, though it’s still a simple and humdrum brew. thirstyrabbit (1849) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 8, 2013
Bottle (says 11 instead of 12°). Dark golden body, medium head. Aroma is sweet and milky with some white bread. Interesting. Sweet white-bready taste with the finish turning a bit lactic. Might be off by some standards but its more beery than all the triple filtered lifeless eurolagers that get advertised between football games. BlackHaddock (7514) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 19, 2017
500ml bottle: BBD 15th Aug 17. Bought and drank at the Russian stall inside the Neustadter Markthalle, Dresden on 10th May 17. Drawn to it by the bottle shape more than anything: shared with the wife. Clear and clean golden body, white crown which left a bit too quickly for my liking. Light malty nose and taste, semi-sweet and overall a bit pedestrian and uninteresting. Best thing about it was the bottle. Oh and many thanks to Beerhunter111 for helping me find this beer on RateBeer, as the name on the bottle bares no to relationship to it’s location (to my eyes anyway). 500ml bottle from supermarket in Vyborg, clear gold colour, small white head. Rather weird sweet basementy aroma, of butter, honey and cheese with some cough drop, cereal and grass thrown in. Medium and oily body, sour and bitter finish. Certainly one of the strangest tasting brews I’ve encountered in Russia, not really that pleasant but drinkable and probably could even be pleasant with a bit less chemical feel, very interesting nonetheless. Probably a different glass than a snifter would’ve helped as the smell was almost overwhelming in it. Should certainly try finding some more of this joint’s products next time over.
