Pours with a fading off-white head in a tulip glass and a copper reddish-golden body. Aroma is sweet with caramel, molasses and some toastiness. Taste is surprisingly of strawberries and cream, caramel, and some husky grain. Nice carbonation with a light body for the style. rubbishystuff (2537) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2010
I think the attempt to mix an ale style and lager style worked in this situation. Decent beer. May be interesting to try to compare to other Oktoberfests. Serving: Bottle dchmela (3070) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAY 16, 2010
Copper red pour. Malty caramel and toffee with a hint of hops in the aroma. Smooth malt, toffee and a nice hop bitterness. Decent brew. drowland (8827) - Georgia, USA - APR 18, 2010
4/19/10. 12oz bottle courtesy Cavie. The pour is a light amber with lots of orange and plenty of floaties, all under a 2-finger fuzzy white head. The aroma is pretty mild, but with a hint of chocolate and roasted malts along with lager yeast. The flavor is a bit tinny but follows with caramel malt and big roasted malt, a bit much for the style, but not terrible.
