Bottle pour opaque black with dark brown head and purple hues. Nose chocolate, roast, dark fruit, sweet malt. Taste roast, dark fruit, chocolate. A little light mouthfeel. Bitter aftertaste. Reasonable tasting stout. bpar73 (1133) - Bellaire, Michigan, USA - AUG 18, 2013
UPDATED: JUN 18, 2014 Sample at Suds on the Shore festival. Dark pour with lots of roasted coffee and chocolate in the aroma and taste. Enough hops to make it interesting. drowland (8829) - Georgia, USA - JUL 15, 2013
7/3/13. 12oz bottle thanks to breau. Black pour with a huge tan head that fizzes away fast. Some dark fruits, coffee, and chocolate in the aroma. Surprisingly light flavor with some coffee, chocolate, and dark fruits. Thin body and SUPER overcarbonated. I’m not sure if just overcarbed or a little infected. Not great either way. jsquire (4525) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - JUN 24, 2013
Dark beer with only the barest of a slick of brown bubbles for a head. Nose of molasses and chocolate. This has the oily mouthfeel that a good Impy stout should have, if not the thick body. Molasses sweetness with toffee, chocolate, ripe pit fruit, toasted grains and a very present grass hop tone. This is a solid stout. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - JUN 2, 2013
Bottle. Pours pitch black with a medium sized fizzy head that quickly fades. Aroma is sour fruit and black licorice. Taste is the same. Very sweet at first and then incredibly sour in the finish. Either this is an infection or a really poorly brewed beer. I’ll buy another one in a few months that hopefully will taste different.

Pours black with a thin white head. First taste is of chocolate milk. Starts off strong but finishes weak.

Solid Russian Imperial Stout. Dark, smooth, with hints of chocolate, roast, coffee and some burnt toast. A real winner. Sikash (240) - North Carolina, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Pours a nice dark color with a tan foamy head that leaves minimal lacing. Aroma is almost fizzy with some coffee and roasted notes. Flavor is average with some roasted malt, coffee, chocolate notes and finishes with a smooth bitterness. Mouthfeel is light carbonation is average. Overall a decent beer which I probably would not buy again.
