3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Gold pour with a thin white head. Aroma is okay. Kinda hoppy mostly cereal . I would not classify this as an IPA. NC breweries need to put together a decent IPA and stop fronting
It pours golden with a slight haze to it. It has a slight off white head that has low head retention. It has aromas of sweet citrus, pine, and low floral and low caramel. It has a sweetness to it with citrus, pine, and floral. It has low flavors of bread and caramel. It has a moderate body with moderate bitterness that is moderately long lasting. Overall, it is a decent citrusy, piney Indian Pale Ale that is moderately bitter. cheap (5858) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 8, 2016
Can, foamed excessively when popped, clean up! Big giant rocky head. Smells like big ipa. Tastes like big ipa. Smells like heavy ipa. What else can it be ...... but terribly on style happy BS nasty Nellie IPA? Rototiller action on my palate destroyed mouth. nearbeer (5419) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 20, 2016
12 oz. can. Golden-amber with a lasting, loose foam on top. Nose is mixed citrus flesh and zest, caramel, and hints of toast and resin. Tastes of toast, resin, sourish orange and caramel. Mint toothpick in the finish. Light body with a decent balance and low-medium carbonation. jrob21 (3688) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 28, 2016
Caramel color. Pine aroma. Mild hop profile with some candy sugar sweetness. 12 oz can from SAMs. Durham. AdamT (268) - North Carolina, USA - MAR 20, 2015
12oz can from The Beer Store Wilson. Orange hue with mostly lasting fizzy off-white head. Loads of sediment floating around in the snifter. Okay lacing. Orange syrup aroma (reminded me of the way Sunkist smells), tart fruit and other tropical fruit aromas. Light orange citrus and floral hop taste up front with a malt backbone. The first sip of this beer was pretty aweful, the middle was a little better, the end had a orange and dirt finish. I was not pleased with this one.

Out of a can. Pour is golden with a white head. Unfiltered so has a haziness to it. Notes of citrus are very noticeable and almost give the beer a tropical taste. Not overly hoppy and a mild malt finish. Good beer. I've had it out of a tap as well and would rate that higher by about .5. dmac (6264) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - JUL 12, 2014
12oz can from jcwatts. Poured a deep amber body under a huge rocky light beige head. Aroma is pretty damn spicy, saisonish, pepper, rotting citrus, apricot and peach, dough. Body is medium with aggresive carbonation and a tonic water feel overall. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Meh, this is a subpar saison pretending to be an IPA. From 12 ounce can purchased at The Veggie Wagon, Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Hazy orange/yellow color, large off white head that left good lacing, nice citrus/pine nose, scattershot bittersweet flavor that’s sweet, then somewhat watery, then hoppy, although it comes together better as the glass warms. The recipe could use a little adjusting but not bad as it is. Cybercat (5834) - Georgia, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Comes out of the can a hazy honey golden, barely transparent, with a very thick and rather persistent buff head. Aroma is typically hoppy for an IPA with a fruity underpinning. Hoppy flavor is slightly bitter, with a subtle fruity undertone, nothing special but still pleasing. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and not very fizzy. If only average, still palatable.
