Pint at Tribute. Poured deep brown witha short-lived khaki head. The aroma picked up buttery chocolates and burnt black malt.. very roasty overall. The flavor found ashy black malt roast and a bit of astringency.. bakerís chocolate on the back.. just ok. Light-medium bodied and very roasty on the palate.. decent feel and flow.. not great, but aiight.
On tap at Three Cellars. Deep mahogany with a creamy tan topper that fades into a small ring. Aroma is earthy and peaty with roasted malt, bakers chocolate and dough. Taste is roasty and peaty with chocolate, semi-sweet malt, nuts and a mild bitter finish.
