4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 Had 2 samples with Eric straight from the tap. It had been aged for almost a year now and was really rounding of nicely. Complex fruity, peppery aroma which went great with the sweetness in the taste. Great beer. Best beer I had during my entire stay in SA for 7 weeks...
Aroma: Medium-high apricots, Medium spicy, peppery (alcohol) Medium-light lemon
Appearance: Murky, brown body. Thick, medium head. Good retention, lacing.
Flavour: Medium spicy, Medium-light fruity, apricots, Medium bitterness. Medium-light lemon, Medium-light peppery, alcohol.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium-high carbonation. Medium warming.
Overall: Missing the complex maltiness, but still a great beer.
Taster at Triggerfish Brewery. Thanks Eric!
