Our latest collaboration with our Scandinavian friends at Amager Bryghus. Inspired by traditional Danish wheat bread, this beer incorporates stone ground whole wheat flour in the mash to create a rustic, bready character. For layered complexity, we added tangerine peel and raw wildflower honey into the whirlpool followed by a double dry hop of Citra/Amarillo. Candied orange, lemon and freshly baked bread permeate the nose. Flavors of tangerine peel, grape and rustic bread emerge on the palate, rounded out by a crisp and balanced finish.

ABV: 6.8%

MALT: 2-Row Malt, Wheat Malt, Dextrine, C-15, Maine Grains Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour

HOPS: Columbus, Citra, Amarillo

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2017 Mighty fine IPA, that's very cose to a NEIPA actually. But it doesn't seem to be required total freshness as a NEIPA would do, this one was kept uncooled and on a shelf. Nonetheless it kept its taste perfectly, describe it as green pastures and some citrus mixed with basetones, almost things like barley or thyme. Very complex mixture of tastes. I was already wondering about Trillium, but this makes me want to go to Boston and heaven!

April 13, 2017. Can at home, courtesy of James, thanks!

Hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is fruity with candied orange, dried apricot, mango, some bready malt. Taste is light to medium sweet, smooth bitter. Finish is smooth bitter with a fruity and bready sweetness.

Nice one, shows some sign of age but held up well.

Style et résumé: Callobo IPA au blé .

Comment: Dégustation Manseau 2016.

Portrait: Une robe jaune claire passablement trouble. Un nez intense de houblon frais. Un profil céréalier sur le blé bien agréable. Une belle surprise en fin de dégustation. Superbe, rafraichissante.

Note: 8/10

Tasting at Alex’s. 473ml, canned on 06-Oct-2016 (thx, Alex G.!). Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, earthy, dank. Same taste with some flowery notes. Very fruity aftertaste with stone fruits and citrusy notes. Amazing!

Filthy orange with a lot of floaters, this is not professional. Juicy aroma, loads of citrus fruits, oranges, some grapefruit, light animal hop. Very limited residual sweetness; nice pale malt flavor, delicate, overwhelmed by the hop, yet able to be noticed; juicy hops, candied orange, strong hop resins; slight pithy bitterness in the final. The cloudiness luckily doesn’t translate much into the flavor.

Can - Big citrus peel and some sour bitterness. Floaties and diary gold with a decent white head. Bitter peel and a long citrus and bitter finish. Solid.

Can 473ml.
Pours hazy blond with low white head. Aroma is of citrus, fruits. Taste is of citrus, fruits, rye-ish cereal (must be that wheat). Palate: Medium body, medium carbonation. Overall: Quite nice but Im’ not a fan of those weird cereals.

Can 1 pt. Pours a cloudy hazy, with a smallish white head. Chewy, juice aroma – pretty intense from the dryhopping. Medium-bodied yet with a significant malt feel, lots of fruit in there and it’s not all fruit and pine. Getting tiny chunks of hop residue as I drink it – as is modern these days. 161116

Can @ hotel in Holland. Hazy golden yellow with a generous head, a tad darker than other Trillium. Notes of citrus peel, some light grains, grape fruits, passion fruit and a medium bitterness.

Thanks to Zack for the can! Poured into a taster showing hazy orange brown with sparse white foam.

The nose shows strong intense notes of orange, papaya, and a mango. Beautiful nose once again.

The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Strong flavors of orange, papaya, mango with pineapple and a light citric edge and a light bitterness on the finish. Comes together well and once again another great juice bomb from Trillium.
