COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A refreshingly hoppy American pale ale, Pipsqueak Penguin is another edition in our "Small Bird Series" of lower ABV offerings, this time brewed for the colder months! The nose is a fusion of lime zest and pineapple. White grape and clementine fill out the flavor profile, balanced by a structured grainy backbone and a crisp, dry finish.

ABV: 4.9%

MALT: English Pale Malt, Flaked Oats, Flaked Barley, Dextrine, C-15

HOPS: CTZ, El Dorado, Nelson Sauvin

Big taste from a little bird. Pours like a hazy OJ. Light body. Easy drinking with good flavor. A nice summer type beer you can enjoy year round. John L - Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted on 4/12/17 from a 16oz can, big thanks to Alex for this one. Pours very cloudy muted orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is, although not super aromatically intense, very fruity, with pineapple and white grape, a grassy green herbal note, and just a touch of oat bread. The flavor is a little more focused on the lightly bitter herbal grass, with the same fruit and bread notes underlying, and coming through as very dry. The body is light with a lightly oily texture, lively carbonation, and a medium lightly bitter and fruity, hint of bread finish.

16oz can at the April Fools Day DC Ratebeer tasting. Poured a cloudy orange color with a foamy white head. Aroma was citrus, really juicy notes. Light tropical notes? Light earthy notes. Light sweet malts, but the hops really shine in this. Pine notes. Real tasty.

Turbid orange color with a short lived frothy white head. Orange juice and pineapple nose. Grainy backbone with lots of sharp orange zest, pineapple and bitter lemeon peel hop notes. Long citrus bitterness in the finish. It drinks must bigger than 4.9%.

Pours a hazy golden orange from the can with bubbly white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of mild citrus hops and a hint of bready grain. Taste follows with some lemongrass and mild bitterness. It’s a solid pale ale, but probably the least exciting thing I’ve had from trillium.

Thanks Huhzubendah for sharing the can! Poured into a snifter showing hazy orange with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows pine resin and cannabis. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Flavors of light pineapple with a strong mid palate of corn malts finishing on a light cannabis bitterness.
