COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
UPPER CASE has a delicate, dry pilsner malt character with a smooth, soft, doughy mouthfeel from the raw wheat, oily hop resin which all serves as a canvas for this twice dry hopped 9% double IPA. Overipe mango, pineapple and passion fruit aromas leap out as the beer is poured. The impression of tropical fruit also takes the lead in the flavor which is layered further by white wine, pine resin and grapefruit zest. Hopped primarily with Mosaic with supporting roles played by Galaxy, Citra and Columbus. We figured there will be considerable interest, so brewed 3 batches!
MALT: Pilsner, Flaked Wheat, C-15, Dextrine, Dextrose
HOPS: Mosaic, Galaxy, Citra, Columbus
The first batch of UPPER CASE will be available on March 21st at 10am. Limit four 25.4/750ml bottles, up to 64oz in growler fills per person.
Batch #2, 20 bbls available draught and bottle 10/3/15.

Cracked the can and a a skunky, peppery aroma is revealed, sits well on the palate, now as it sat the aroma morphed into a backwoodsy fermented leathery scent. Taste is alightly sweet peach, subdued and equalized in the back. A very intriguing offering that happens to rank up there with my favorite Trillium offerings.

Tasted from can. Pours a hazy gold with white head. Aroma is tropical fruit with lemon. Taste is moderate to heavily bitter. Flavors of lemon, mango, melon, pineapple, resin, caramel. As almost all of Trilliums beer very well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16 oz can from the Boston Brewery brought to me by my son for my 2000. The ale poured a cloudy light gold color with a small head and lacing. The aroma of tropical fruit and pine resin. A very complex ale worthy of its high rating. This a brewery I want to visit. The taste was full of grapefruit and hints of lemon. A pleasure to drink. The medium body ale had average carbonation. The higher ABV is very deceptive.

Very cloudy light amber golden color. Very dry nose with cracker malts and papaya with a touch of citrus. Very light body, slightly dank with decent mouth feel but not so characterful. It was ok.

From can. Pours a orangy hazy with a medium sized white head. Aroma is pretty mango, caramel, mango, heavy, sweet, overripe orange. Taste is sweet, tea herbal, spicy, low bitterness. Average carbonation and a medium oily body. Far from the best Trillium i’ve had, but not the freshest either.
