If your preferred tipple is hoppy, then this brew will suit. Golden-brown in colour, it is brewed with citrus hops in abundance.
This beer is a tribute to the late great Eric Morecambe (1926 – 1984). Hertfordshire was fortunate to have him live in the county for a number of years moving into Harpenden, nr St Albans in 1961. He did not only just reside in Harpenden, but was always willing to make appearances at charity or community events. He had played golf at the local club, shopped in the local high street and given the town many a mention in his comedy routines. He was not only a national treasure, but also a legend in Hertfordshire. Tasting notes: If your preferred tipple is hoppy, then this brew will suit. Golden-brown in colour, it is brewed with citrus hops in abundance.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival ’15. Amber with white head. This proved to be quite a sweetish, malty, fruity beer, skinny peach notes with a slightly fungal background. There is a late, leafy bitterness. Just okay.

Cask from the brewery take home. Poured a clear golden colour, with the smallest amount of rocky white head. Nice hoppy aroma, with some cereal and earthy notes. Initial flavours of pine, citrus and bready malt. Finish was subtle hops, oranges and dry grain.

BlackHaddock (7507) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2014
Hand-pulled pint on 22nd Apr 2014 in the Crown Inn, Oakengates. Poured a good looking mid-range copper colour with a white head that hung around. Malty front to the nose with the hops taking over very quickly, a mild citrus undertone. The taste also had a mini malty sweetness initially and again the hops took over to give the flavour a more bitter feel, with those citrus notes just below the surface throughout. Well worth trying if you come across it.
