COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
A light brown quaffing ale with a hint of sweetness and caramel on the palate. Challenger hops impart a gentle bitterness, which is matched by a late hop aroma from Styrian Goldings.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Light haze on this amber beer, small white head. Palate is smooth but has just modest carbonation. Smooth semi sweet malts, little caramel. Mild orchard fruits, slightly ripe. Smooth finish. Tasty enough but has condition issues.

Draught (Devonshire Arms, Cambridge)
Lovely sweet bready, slightly nutty aroma. Beautiful soft palate. More breadiness in the taste. Lovely twiggy bitterness. Classic bitter, makes me want to drink more. Great at 3.7%.

Cask conditioned, gravity dispensed at The Lord Nelson Inn, Reedham, Norfolk. Orange gold with white head. This proved to be a dry hoppy bitter, some spiciness, leafy hops with an oily resonance. Long bitter finish, pretty decent.

Cask, handpump at The White Horse, Banbury, Oxon 05.03.12 Pours brown, good clarity with a slim white head. This is a textbook BBB, lightly fruity, lightly bitter, some caramel sweetness and with barely a whiff of excitement about it. Despite my rather boring comments on this beer, it was served in good nick, looked great and there was nothing wrong with it all all other than the fact it was a BBB. A6 A5 T5 P3 Ov11 3.0
