5.2% ruby red colour with a thin head, roast malt aroma, the taste was not too good, maybe I had just had too many reasonable beers before this one.

Cask handpull at The Webb Ellis as Tring Colley’s Dog. Pours a dark amber brown, translucent and still with a foamy off white head. Aroma is rounded malts, old carpet, yeast, some creosote. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is gluey, more carpet, Turkish coffee, vanilla, woody notes, resin, chewed bread. A robust and flavourful bitter. Good stuff. (6-4-7-4-14=3.5)

2016 catch up - Bottle at home - Strong, malty, smooth, dark & thick. Taste the alcohol and a good ESB.

ThirstyBird (2925) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 19, 2017
On cask at the brewery, pours a super dark cola color with a tan head. The smell is dark fruit, roasted dark malt, dark chocolate. The beer tastes dark fruit, roasted malt, some chocolate while ending fruity and dry. The body is light/ medium with fine carbonation.

Handpull cask at the Golden Hind, Cambridge. Ruby, noticeably translucent with a small cream-coloured head. It has a simple and unassuming malty scent with a strong suggestion of raspberry. Taste is sweet and malty with tannic notes. It turns bitter for the finish with berry, red wine and juniper in the aftertaste. Tring are brilliant at making simple, understated beer, and this is no exception.

Scopey (14766) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2016
Cask at the George, Croydon. It pours deep brown with a small, bubbly off-white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, dried fruits, cherry, fruit cake, oily, wood and leather. The taste is bitter, earthy, wood, leather, dull toffee, caramel, dried fruits and leaves with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent fruity character, but it is a touch twiggy. OK.

Stuu666 (13433) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 14, 2016

renffisch (891) - london, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2016
Wetherspoon Chancery Lane, draught. Darkest red mahogany, creamy head. Stewed old fruit nose, medium mouthfeel, sweet in flavour and quite quaffable

ManVsBeer (10475) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 30, 2016
Cask @ Wetherspoon’s Piccadilly, Manchester. Deep ruby red with a creamy head. Has a malty nose, with some paler malts fused with a graininess in its taste that ends with a bitterness.
