(Draught during GABF week at the brewpub) clear medium brown with a creamy tan head. Nose of espresso, coffee and cream. Taste of spicy coffee, not overbearing at all, creamy, refreshing and cola like. Absolutely spot on carbonation with a delicious linger. Nice stout! adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 14, 2011
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2012 On tap @ Trinity. Very dark brown appearance with a creamy brown head. Dark chocolate malty nose with espresso and hazelnuts. Big espresso flavor over a dark chocolate maltiness. Coffee and roasted malts on the finish with some hoppy bitterness. Delicious!! baraciisch (3187) - California, USA - JAN 28, 2011
Dark brown black in color... Cloudy in color, syrupy appearance... Aroma of dark roasted coffee... Flavor is roasted malts, coffee... Pretty decent drjay44 (3681) - Salida, Colorado, USA - DEC 21, 2010
Sampler at the brewpub. Pours a light beige head over a clear, dark brown (SRM 35) body....nose is coffee, chocolate, bit of cereal....taste is very heavy with coffee....mouth feel is slightly light, carbonation low. This is not well balanced with the coffee tones dominating too much.tasting of 8/22/12. BJCP 7/3/10/4/6 BT (123) - Westchester, Illinois, USA - AUG 23, 2010
Draught at Trinity Brewing and brought home in a growler: Pours black with an average, frothy, light brown head. Aroma is heavy malt and light hops. Full bodied.

On tap at the brewpub, tasted as a flight. This is a nice Colorado offering to rival DFH’s Chicory Stout. Poured near-black with a thin bubbly tan head, aroma of (guess what?) chicory, medium-roast coffee, and roasted nuts. Flavor was a little wild for my taste, heavy on the chicory and spices, but with a nice underlying roasted malt. A little thin and watery for a stout, but overally not a bad offering at all! notalush (5866) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 17, 2009
A light-bodied, medium-bitter stout, with a hint of roast and a light touch of coffee that compliments the hop profile and moderate roasted character - a mild vanilla sweetness and chocolate malt in the finish - decent, but one of my least favorite here so far. thedm (6147) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 19, 2009
This draft brew poured a medium sized head of foamy fine to medium sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation black colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was black malt. The mouth feel was smooth at the start and mediumly tingly at the finish with a mellow hoppy aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of mild hops and dark malt. An OK brew just nothing special. Headbanger (3992) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - SEP 9, 2009
Draft at Brewery 8/10/09-Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of coffee. Taste of the same. This was a little light for a stout and the only flavors were that of coffee. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - AUG 27, 2009

Coffee roast aroma. Black and smooth on the palate with some alcohol present. Creamy and slightly hoppy with a chocolaty roast finish.
