***2012 Vintage*** Thanks to mklever42 from BA for this beer that shares the same name as my 1st daughter! Poured from a 750ml. bottle, bottle #929. Appearance: Pours a dark brown with about 2 fingers worth of head that are unfortunately very brief with no much lacing left behind. Smell: Pumpkin seeds with some of the flesh, fresh spices, herbs. Quite powerful and nice. Taste: Bit of mint, fresh herbs, hints of brown sugar, some coriander. Pumpkin is discreet but comes out as it nears room temp. A flavorful finish. Mouthfeel: Very low carbonation takes a little getting used to. Creamy and the body overcomes a bit the almost lack of carbonation. Overall: Feels delicate and subdued, doesn’t smack you in the face. The Saison feel is much more prominent than the pumpkin aspect. Different and enjoyable.

Shared 16.7 oz. bottle poured to a snifter showing a hazed, amber color, with a frothy layer of off white foam, and ribbons & spots of lacing. The nose was dried fruit, currants, minimal but masked pumpkin scent, pie spices, and caramel sweetness. Light bodied, with lively, fizzy spritz to the carbonation, the taste added moderate, earthy bitterness, with decent alcohol presence. So much better Saison than the Oh Face, the other Trinity offering of the evening.

Tasting at Eugene’s
Dark brown color, the mix of spices create a strong soap character, aroma and flavor. Not very pleasant.

mcberko (18573) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 6, 2016
375mL bottle, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma is actually pretty light on the pumpkin, instead featuring loads of nutmeg, earth and some miscellaneous spiciness. Flavour is very earthy and dirty, with dirty yeasty notes, nutmeg and a touch of cinnamon. Tastes very scorched. Not a fan.

Draft pour schooner at the beer junction. Pours a ruby brown color with a thin film head. Sweet pumpkin pie like aroma. Flavor is a ton of spice up front, mixed with a candy sweet malt. Finishes on a huge pumpkin pie note. Interesting saison? Hard to really be sure on style, the pumpkin kinda buries this. At least the flavor is good. Good pumpkin overall.

DocLock (10970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 21, 2015
Half liter red-waxed bottle from Whole Foods PM. Pours dark caramel toward brown colored with minimal head. Nose is pumpkin, lactic tartness. Tastes of pumpkin, spice, tart, with a finish that warms to lose some tartness and gain spiciness, Solid.
