3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Backcountry Pizza poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering white head. Aromas of straw, lavender, floral notes, light yeast and light pepper. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, spice, lavender and floral notes with a crisp dry lingering spiced finish.
Cloudy, pale golden pour with thick, coarse white foam. Fruity / floral / herbal and yeast in the nose with some earthy, mustiness at the end. Perhaps one of the flowers is lavender? Rich malt background that gives it an almost slippery texture. Medium body, active fizz and a sharp, dry finish. It’s a complex, earthy saison. The ester yeasts are there and provide a vinous aspect. Perhaps there are some clever, citrusy hops included. There are also some coriander notes reminiscent of a wheat beer. I can see where someone might get green tea and jasmine notes too. It’s a complex but slightly fragile saison. I am not sure I would pair it with anything too strong. drfabulous (8083) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAY 7, 2016
375 ml bottle from Cappys. Pours hazy orange yellow. Taste is yeast and wit and wheat. Light flora. Nice. JStax (6894) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - MAR 27, 2016
375 ml bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a moderately hazy yellow with a white head of foam. Big head and good retention. The aroma has grassy notes, herbal, and floral notes as well. More of a sweet green tea character with moderate herbal bitterness. Very nice and refreshing. No real tartness shows up in the beer. Just a well balanced saison that is close to the traditional style. Medium to high carbonation and medium body. Thirst quencher. Really enjoyed this one. mansquito (6488) - Nueva York, New York, USA - MAR 9, 2016

At a tasting, big bubbly slightly gushing, fluffy head, clear yellow color, aroma of citrus and saison yeast with some spiciness in the back, fruity rubbery flavor with some almond, quite dry.. Strait forward, well made and highly enjoyable saison.

Yeasty floral saison aroma. Spicy. Peppery. Lighter in body but has enough flavor to make it pretty solid. Balanced saison. Has a pretty floral finish but the peppery spice is the dominant flavor. Pretty descent saison. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone djd07 (15067) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 29, 2015
