On tap at the brewpub. Interesting. This was definitely a Guinness replacement, but I found the body way way way too thick. I’d just had the barrel-aged Barleywine and Imperial Stout, but found this too sweet. There wasn’t a nice dry crisp roast to balance. Also, I was burping some diacetyl after this beer.
On tap at the brewery. Dark brown pour with a kaki head. Guinness wanna be with sweet faux chocolate highlights. No meat, just soggy potatoes. Not my thing at all. Strykzone (7354) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - AUG 5, 2014
Sampled at the brewpub. Very dark with a creamy tan head. Nitro feel to this with the muted effects. Soft chocolate and equally soft fruit. Milk chocolate. Wish they used CO2 for this. drsordr (2655) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - JUL 19, 2014
Draft to taster opaque dark brown. Nose light Roasty, chocolates, some coffee. Taste a hint of aromatic hop followed by the taste from the nose. Nice roasty finish. Cybercat (5829) - Georgia, USA - JUN 29, 2014
Pours a deep coffee brown with a very thick and fine-bubbled tan head - very Guinness-like.strong aroma has notes of roast malt, coffee, licorice and molasses. Flavor has robust notes of good coffee, roast malt, molasses, and a snip of licorice. Velvety texture has food firmness and fizz. Get your Irish on and dive right in! During March madness with Janie and Larry. A bit hoppy for an Irish stout. More sweet than dry. Nicely roasted though with a good deep charred wod flavor.

Tap - dark but still opaque. Has a cream aroma and a coffee taste. Way too thin for the mouthfeel. caseynswan (46) - - OCT 2, 2012
Thick, creamy oatmeal-colored head & an intense black brew. Very mild malt nose & smooth, creamy, medium-to-heavy-bodied mouthfeel. Mildly hopped. Very drinkable. Maybe too drinkable. Drake (13724) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 9, 2012
Served on draft at the brewery. Pours a clear dark brown color with a thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts and herbal hops. The taste is roasted malts and intensely herbal, almost dank, notes. Smooth, light bodied, lingering bitterness. Travlr (24656) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 25, 2012
Draft at the source. Very dark maroon color, beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate. Taste is light bodied moccha. Not bad.
