COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We love brewing bold and intense beers, and coming off our recent gold medal for a Belgian inspired flanders we thought it was time to switch gears and go overboard with hops. Slap Your Mammy is a shocking Double IPA! Coming in at 10-10.5 % ABV this huge ale is brewed with 7 of the highest quality malts and 8 varieties of hops! On our 125 minute boil we pack in 125 IBUs, making this one of the hoppiest beers ever brewed in the world. If that not enough hops, then just wait! Unlike any of our other beers, we dry hop this one twice to pack in as much aroma as possible! A truly shocking Double IPA for all you Hopophiles!

A: The beer pours a burnt orange color with a couple fingers of white head and some nice lacing. S: A really dank hop aroma. Intense floral and citrus hops with a really oily pine note. Good grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, and pineapple with a mild bread note and some toasted malts underneath. T: Really resinous and oily pine provides a rather intense bitterness. Lots of citrus fruits too, primarily grapefruit and tangerine, but there is a nice floral quality to it as well as a touch of grass. M: Medium in body with a moderate level of carbonation. O: So many different hop characteristics here that none of them really dominated. Pretty solid stuff.

750mL bottle, sent from robloc303 (thanks a lot, Rob), pours a clear dark orange with a tiny head - seems flat. Nose of dry citrus hops, some pine, some wild fruitys, and biscuity malt. Flavour seems like a double wild IPA, with notes of tropical fruits, caramel malts, some resinous hops, and syrupy residual sweetness. Solid stuff, but not my kind of IIPA.
