750mL bottle, sent from robloc303 (thanks a lot, Rob), pours a clear dark orange with a tiny head - seems flat. Nose of dry citrus hops, some pine, some wild fruitys, and biscuity malt. Flavour seems like a double wild IPA, with notes of tropical fruits, caramel malts, some resinous hops, and syrupy residual sweetness. Solid stuff, but not my kind of IIPA. chrisv10 (17474) - DENMARK - MAR 19, 2013
Bottle @ Papsoe tasting, 10%. Unclear amber/brown with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hops, little peach, little caramel and a little citrus. Flavour is malt, fruit, caramel, hops, little peach, medium sweet, medium bitter, little citrus and a little pine. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 21, 2011
A: The beer pours a burnt orange color with a couple fingers of white head and some nice lacing.
S: A really dank hop aroma. Intense floral and citrus hops with a really oily pine note. Good grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, and pineapple with a mild bread note and some toasted malts underneath.
T: Really resinous and oily pine provides a rather intense bitterness. Lots of citrus fruits too, primarily grapefruit and tangerine, but there is a nice floral quality to it as well as a touch of grass.
M: Medium in body with a moderate level of carbonation.
O: So many different hop characteristics here that none of them really dominated. Pretty solid stuff.
