We love brewing bold and intense beers, and coming off our recent gold medal for a Belgian inspired flanders we thought it was time to switch gears and go overboard with hops. Slap Your Mammy is a shocking Double IPA! Coming in at 10-10.5 % ABV this huge ale is brewed with 7 of the highest quality malts and 8 varieties of hops! On our 125 minute boil we pack in 125 IBUs, making this one of the hoppiest beers ever brewed in the world. If that not enough hops, then just wait! Unlike any of our other beers, we dry hop this one twice to pack in as much aroma as possible! A truly shocking Double IPA for all you Hopophiles!

Bold aroma of citrus and pine. Flavor was big bitterness but a nice sweet background. A lot going on here. Average light copper color and a decent amount of weight.

Served on cask at Trinity. Clear golden color with a white head. Strong hops and pine aroma. Hops juicy fruit bitter dank finish. Medium body. Very smooth from the cask which cuts the bite of the hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had it on tap/cask at Trinity. Right away the aroma tells u its gonna be a good time, part dank, part punany, all the hops. Pours a deep orange hue with a thin white lasting head. The aroma and taste are what a IPAs should be. The taste is so fn smooth, its smoove!! The taste belies its powerful 10.5 ABV, and did I say smoove! Makes me want to slap my daddy as well.

Draft at the brewery. Pours hazy golden amber with a fizzy white head and lots of lacing. Tastes like citrus hops, resin, caramel, grapefruit, booze, and musky malt. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like grapefruit, citrus hops, caramel, and musky grains.

Mix of floral and piney hops. Taste is very dry and bitter. Hops very dominant. Very piney resinous finish. Feel like i am chewing on hops. Needs a bit more malt balance. This may be my least favorite Trinity beer yet. Mostly I am impressed with their offerings. Just way way too bitter, but with what feels like a saison body base... Light and not malty. So lacks balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
