COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed for Kunstencentrum Vooruit, celebrating their 100th anniversary.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, wheat syrup, hops, yeast. From the website (Google translate from French): "On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, the Kunstencentrum De Vooruit Ghent wished to remind the brewing activity he had had in the early 1900. In this context, the Brasserie Dupont was asked to create a beer based on their wishes. Given the success of this new beer at the event, it was decided to open production for all customers. * Organic beer, amber color, dry and bitter with a smoky note (specifically peat) in aroma and taste. This phenolic characteristic is obtained by using a small percentage of malt specially dried with Scottish peat (malt whiskey)."

Bottle. Cleat light amber, medium white head. Yeast, light smoked wood, some sour fruit (green apple?). Medium body. Heavily smoky taste, gradating in the finish - salty and peaty.

750ml bottle @ Matt’s. Pours a clouded dark amber colour with a small white head. Nose is a nice smoked/peated malt. Flavour semi sweet while bitter of not much and then fades to a nice peaty finish. Nothing special, but I like the peat.

Bottle - Lots of up front manure. Cloudy dark gold with a decent white head. Farmhouse manure and some decent light bitter funky finish. I like manure.

Cloudy and light tan. Thin head. The peat ends up being a bit phenolic on the nose. On the palate, this is smokey, nice phenols, some good yeasty character. Mellow malt. Dryish finish.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of peated malt upfront, with light toasted caramel and some stone fruits. Flavour is along the same lines, with plenty of peat, and not a whole lot else to talk about. Light sweetness on the finish, with pretty much nothing but smoke. Pretty disappointing for Dupont.

(Bottle, 0.75 l - BBE 12/2017, at William K Kurvi, 20170322) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white and it lasted long. Aroma had grass, sweetness and smoke. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, yeast, spiciness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. A decent hoppy saison.
