Solide.

750 ml bottle into chalice, no bottle dating. Cork blew off as soon as I twisted it. Pours lightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick foamy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Insane appearance. Aromas of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, white grape, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana, candi sugar, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, earthy hops, candi sugar, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, white grape, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana, candi sugar, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of peppery yeast spiciness and light herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, white grape, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana, candi sugar, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, earthy hops, candi sugar, and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/spiciness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from yeast spiciness and carbonation. Very high carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and creamy/bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mildly increasing warmth of 11% after the finish. Overall this is an amazing tripel! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, earthy hops, candi sugar, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV. Amazing classic tasting yeast complexity with balanced pale malts/sugar. Very well attenuated, never sweet or heavy feeling for the ABV. A highly amazing offering, and spot on style example. One of the best Tripels I have ever had; definitely lived up to my expectations. Just as impressive as Westmalle and Karmeliet; but La Fin Du Monde is still the top favorite.

Golden pour with a single finger head. Aroma is sweet, lots of malt character. Full bodied. Taste is sweet, flowery, sweet finish of candy and caramel. Finish is slightly dry. Booze is hidden really well. No lace present.

On tap at De Garre of course. This beer is a hazy deep yellow with an enormous head. The aroma is rich with fruity esters and sweet grain. Banana, pepper, and clove come out. The mouthfeel is bold with a hefty sweet, bready body that is dominated by fruity esters. The finish dries out nicely though. Alcohol peeks through a little but is decently well masked.

This is probably the one of the best beer I've tasted. This beer has a high alcohol content but didn't taste like it. The beer has a good balance of a hint caramel, ctirus and orange . Unfortunately, they only serve tap beers and you would need to go there to try their beers. This a must visit in Brugge!!

gift from Terry - Thanks! - no date, but I've cellared this for more than a year --- Aroma of musty, fruity malt, rich and aged. Nearly clear medium golden amber color, smooth ivory head that sticks at one inch, sprays of lace. Taste is malt with caramel and apple, medium carbonation, and in place of visible hops, alcohol that grows more pronounced as it fades. I noticed a lot of raters say the alcohol is subdued - not so in my bomber. Also distracting: it lays heavy in the belly, complicated by bloating. I'm waiting for the relief of a belch. Good, not great.
