(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with a small, off-white head. Sweetish fruity nose. Quite full-bodied with plenty of sweet fruit and a somewhat oxidized edge. Warming alcoholic finish. 201008 Theydon_Bois (21480) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 20, 2014
Tap at Staminee De Garre, 17/10/14.
Clear rich golden with a big old eggshell white head that stays for the show.
Nose is caramel, malty rinse, hint of citric peel, straw, mellow fruits.
Taste comprises more betterness than the nose suggested, tangy orange, yeast esters, caramel, light spice.
Medium + body, fine carbonation, fairly smooth, lightly warming alcohol in the close.
Decent tripel, bitterness tempers the sweetness to good effect, the 11.5% ABV is well integrated.
