At Café Botteltje, Ostend. Pours clear dark golden with a big, foamy, white head; fizzing. The aroma contains fruits (apple & banana), grain, hops & hay, sugar, some vanilla and spices. It tastes light to medium fruity and malty sweet, and light to medium spicy bitter. The finish is slightly hoppy and dry. Medium body, sticky/watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Interesting at first, but becomes a bit tedious. Also, the palate doesn't correspond with the ABV...

Pours moderately hazy golden-blond, thick and sturdy meringue-like froth on top. A lot of banana esters, further notes of vanilla, ginger, peach. Really tastes very sweet, and the light bitterness, lively carbonation and touch of alcoholic warmth try to balance it but can't get there in the end. So it cloys, but is tasty in a childlike, dessert sort of way. No doubt it would make slightly more sense next to a wee bowl of gouda cubes and celery salt.

At Brussels Beer festival September 2017. Clear pure gold colour lasting white head. some tripel aroma some sweetness. Some sweet orange and lemon. Quite good though. Sweet alcohol . Enough fruit to be likeable. Some peppery hop on finish .fine.
