First brewed 1996; claimed to be based on a recipe from 1679 which used wheat, oat and barley.
Tripel Karmeliet is a very refined and complex golden-to-bronze brew with a fantastic creamy head. These characteristics derive not only from the grains used but also from restrained hopping with Styrians and the fruity nature (banana and vanilla) of the house yeast. Aroma has hints of vanilla mixed with citrus aromas. Tripel Karmeliet has not only the lightness and freshness of wheat, but also the creaminess of oats together with a spicy lemony almost quinine dryness.

Lovely yellow hue infused with continuous (I mean it!) strings of little bubbles. With its fresh, sugar nose and immediate zing (it stings - hurts almost, but in a good way), and smooth, round palate, this is an excellent tripel! It's subtle yet full of joie de vivre!

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours crisp gold with very fine white foam. Aroma is banana, orange peel, very fruity. Body is slightly dense. Taste is definitely sweet, low bitterness, quite some tangy. Finish is not particularly long, but sweet and a little liquor-like.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2017 This Beer is one of my favorites with trappist. You have The Glass first look Like a calice , where blonde bubles permanently generate foam. The taste are long and express a feeling of feed (don’t need to eet after 1-2 beers ) and happiness. This Beer IS not a the best choice for women as It is quite strong and the opposite of fruit taste.

330ml bottle @ home. Clear gold with a large white head, good retention, good lacing. Nose is yeast, lemon, peach, coriander. Tastes of banana, clove, spices, citrus fruit, light malt. Zesty carbonation. Medium body with a long, lingering, peppery, banana finish. Don’t drink this too cold, the complexity really comes out as it warms. Delicious.

BeerViking (4907) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 27, 2017
Bottle, golden with a very faint haze and a lot of CO2. Lovely spicy lemony nose with hints of bread, banana and perry. Rich and dry-sweet, fruity bready undertones, dry spiciness and touches of lemon and barnyard. Delicious.

Fermented fruit on the nose, white wine, green apple entry but grain and Malty crisp finish. Body starts light and goes down creamy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Smak Piwa. Beer served in Flute Glass. Pours slightly cloudy amber with big and thick head. Belgian yeasts and glucose dominates the aroma, along with marmalade, yellow and red fruits, mild spiciness and malts. Flavor is rich, deep malty backbone with apricots, cherries, apple, pear and berries notes. A little champagne like.
