Tap at the brewpub, 31/10/13. Full bodied, ruby-tinted mahogany draped with beige. Nose rich with Xmas pud, chocolate-coated raisin and soy. Sweet balance of soapy blueberry undercurrents overlaid with black chocolate and raisin richness. Heavy and cocoa-smooth, almost imperial in feel. Very, very good. Draft sample. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy light brown head that was mostly lasting and good to excellent lacing. Moderate roasted coffee and toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy dark sweet flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid drinkable beer.

~ 16 ounce draft at the Casino Bar at the Main Street Station, Las Vegas, Nevada. The pour is a hazy brown black with a one inch tan head. The aroma is light roast, malt sweetness and a hint of mineral. The taste is a nice subtle blend of the malt sweet and the roast. The mineral earthiness dries out the finish. The palate is medium to light bodied, crisp clean finish. Nice, this was maybe a touch subdued, though the nice clean roast flavor and the clean finish made it really drinkable. Appearance was clear black with creamy tannish lasting 2 finger head, no lacing. Aromas wher roasty toasty toffee coffee caramelize malts, no alcohol present. Taste was smooth coffee, toffee roasted chocolately caramel malts. No alcohol present, Yummy.Palate was creamy velvely C02 with mdeuim body. The smooth average length coffee finish.
