Clean amber brown pour with a thin white head. Rich smoky/meaty nose with a light grainy sweetness. Smoky and malty notes in the flavor. Lightly sweet on the finish. Very nice.

Approximately 4.5 oz. of a 6 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom in Charlotte, North Carolina. Consumed on 9-24-15. Pours a hazy, murky, dark amber with a small amount of beige head. Liquid looks interesting. Malty, lightly smoky aroma. Subtle and quite pleasant smell. Malted milk ball scent. Nice, lightly smoky, lightly malty-sweet taste with just a touch of tartness. A touch of Band-Aid flavor, which is not ideal. Light to medium body. Unmemorable but acceptable palate. A bit too aqueous. A pleasant enough beer but a forgettable one. Pours clear coppery-red with a fairly thick buff head. Malty aroma has a smoky, almost BBQ, overtone plus yeasty, oat and wheat hints. Flavor rolls wheat, oat, smoky malt, and subtle fruity tones across the tongue, while bits of yeast and hops pop up here and there. Mouthfeel has good body if not a lot of fizz. Smokin’! Bomber from Beer Study. Slightly hazy amber, thin creamy tan head, decent retention. Aroma of smoke, nuts, caramel. The taste is caramel, smoke, nuts. Thin-medium bodied, low carbonation, mild lingering smoke. 100th smoked beer!

Aroma: It has a clean smokey malt aroma, some peat, caramel, and earthy hop
Appearance: Caramel-red color in the glass with a sheet of beige head and heavy lacing
Flavor: Has a balanced flavor with light smoke, light sweetness, and a light earthy bitterness
Palate: It is medium bodied, with a very smooth and clean feel, and a soft carbonation
I was actually pretty impressed by this. It has a good balance to it. The smoke is present, but not overly so.
