Black, small white head. Aroma smells like chili peppers though there isn’t any. Hints of cinnamon. Flavor is odd, a bit vegetal, strong coffee, roasty, boozy finish.

This is a great barrel aged brew out of Cinci. I’m sure this one would only get better with age. Enjoy!

Bottle: I love this beer. It’s sweet, but with a beautiful solid backbone of spice and coffee that fills the mouth with flavors. Great beer... can’t wait to try it with some age on it to see how it changes.

Sample at The Brass Tap during Cincinnati Beer Week. Pours brownish-black with a medium foamy beige head that dissipates steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, malt and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, oaky bourbon, vanilla and coffee. The finish is oaky with a vanilla coffee aftertaste. Solid beer all around.

Bottle pour on the bus during RBWG, Asheville. Cinnabon coverered in frosting. Roasted malt earthiness. Some toffee and marzipan. Similar flavor. Slightly burnt donuts and sheetcake. Chocolate and vanilla swirl. Sweet and inviting. Medium body, mellow and supple on the palate. Fat and enjoyable.
