Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pour hazy brown with large tan head. Nose big artificial peanut, but I like it. Some nutty. Taste big peanut, other nutty, and some sweet malt. Light cherry undertones. Not as much hazelnut as base but I like it better than a lot of fruited versions. djd07 (16452) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 30, 2017
Bottle at RBSG. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is peanuts, cocoa, roast, spice. Thin body, cocoa, roast, peanut butter, light finish, very good. Ferris (17770) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 30, 2017

2016 League bottle. Dark brown pour with a thick tan head. Aroma of peanut butter, hazelnut and caramel. Sweet malt and peanut butter flavor with a hazelnut finish. Impressive that they’re able to get the peanut butter flavor in there without completely drowning out the hazelnut.

Draft pour. Knocked it out again! This beer is a dark brown to black with a khaki head of foam. The aroma has big peanut butter, bit also that big caramel sweetness of the chickow. Sweet and deliciously peanutbuttery. Big body, thick mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Just awesome. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 6, 2014
4oz on tap at the brewery. Clear brown color. Thin khaki head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Good, big nutty peanut butter aroma. Lightly spicy, and big hazelnut. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Light slick. Bigger sweet taste, light sweet / spicy bite.. Alcohol warmth seems more perceptible here than in standard Chickow. A tasty, big peanut butter double hazel nut brown ale, though. GnarlyGnome (673) - Fairfield, Ohio, USA - MAY 29, 2014
Draft at the taproom for Chickow! day. Looks like chickow... slightly hazy brown with a small light tan head. If you are a fan of nutcase, this is right up your alley. Nice solid peanut butter flavor that sits over top the nutty chickow flavors. This tastes like Nutella all the way. Loved it, but then again... I love it all. reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 19, 2014
pours brown with a medium tan head...decent lacing and retention. aroma has roasty notes and nuttiness...notable PB but not entirely authentic...chalky...hazelnut. flavor follows suit...hints of chocolate in there too...nutty/peanut buttery but more like extract or even a nougat in candy...sweet. mouthfeel is medium/full and silky with a bold roasty finisn that carries the nutty/pb through to the end. not bad but certainly not as authentic as some of the PB brews I’ve had. alexsdad06 (11381) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JAN 28, 2014
UPDATED: FEB 13, 2014 Draft at Listermann Octoberfest. Pours a hazy brown color with a medium sized creamy beige head. The aroma is sweeter malts, hazelnut, vanilla, caramel, hints of chocolate with the same peanut character as their Nutcase. The flavor is much of the same; sweeter caramel malts, hazelnut, chocolate, same peanut butter character as Nutcase with a very light bitterness to the finish. This was my least favorite mainly because of the similarity to their Nutcase porter.
Alright, had more of it and maybe I was a little tough on this. I still like the others better, but this is better than the Nutcase.
