American Amber Ales originated on the West Coast and feature a balance of malt and hops. Our Amber is medium bodied and a local favorite.

Surprisingly not bad. I liked the blend of flavors. The aroma was a little malty but promised some hops presence. Reddish brown color with small head. Medium to lightweight palate. Average carbonation. Roasted malt flavor with a hops essence that was there for balance. Maybe some unintentional woody flavors. Good beer with a burger at Triple J.

Pours a pink red colored. Canvas colored soapy head. Notes of sweat, light brown sugar, and flowers. Meh

AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - APR 19, 2011
Clear copper color/ ivory head. Spicy caramel, marshmallow, floral aromas. Rich toffee, spicy caramel sweet flavors, burnt popcorn finish-- all was good til the finish.

Served from tap an amber red with of white head. Great smooth aroma and smooth taste as well.

Tap at the pub. Clear reddish orange color with a decent frothy head. Some amount of a malty aroma but very light and wafting. Taste is leafy dry with bitter malts. Finish is also bitter that carries a fair amount of hopped flavor with it. Decent, but not great.

ttutony (929) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 29, 2009
Pours a reddish brown color. I thought there was a good balance between the caramel malt flavors up front and the hops in the background.

[Tap] Pours a deep ruby color with virtually no head. Sweet and fruity aroma. Taste includes toffee and caramel, in addition to sweet pear and plum notes. Very little in the way of hops here... I could hardly detect anything. Average body and low carbonation levels. This wasn’t too bad.

travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - NOV 6, 2009
On tap at the brewpub. The look is light brown, small off white head. The smell is a light hop and malts mixture. Weak overall. The taste has malts, floral, and hops. Watery.

Now Triple J. Room temp glass. Filtered and dark brown. No head with minimal nose. Taste-not much going on. A bit malty, very little hop profile. No taste of alcohol at all. Not real good-mostly just a cold drink.
