A: The pour is an orange-yellow color with a decent sized white head.
S: A big citrus aroma right off the bat with lots of juicy grapefruit and tangerine. Some notes of sweet fruits, maybe some lemon too. Quite a bit of pine as well. Not really any malt to speak of.
T: The bitterness is pronounced here, and I like it. Lots of bitter grapefruit and lemon rind with plenty of pine in the mix. There’s a decent tangerine flavor, but the flavor isn’t quite as fruity as the nose lets on. A mild bread flavor comes through.
M: Medium in body with a low to medium carbonation. I would have preferred a bit more effervescence here, but it’s fine.
D: The better of the two IPAs I sampled (MiracALE being the other). Pretty easy to drink despite a big bitterness. bb (9697) - Alamo, California, USA - DEC 30, 2010
Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Grapefruit and light tropical fruit aroma. Grapefruit and craamel flavor with pine and light tropical fruit. Medium-plus bodied. Nice bitterness. Grapefruit and pine lingers with caramel and tropical fruit. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - DEC 10, 2010
Clear light orange with a fizzy white head. Caramel grapefruit aroma and taste with an earthy spiciness and a pine finish. Fairly well balanced.
