"a bit of a hop bomb of a barleywine, though large amounts of caramel and toffee are evident as well. medium bodied for the style. red in color. pretty good beer with a bittersweet finish." beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - MAY 13, 2011
Tasted on tap at the 8th Annual Triple Rock Firkin Fest on 4/9/2011. This Barley wine pours a medium red amber color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, toffee, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied Barley wine. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Hides the alcohol well. A nice sipping beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. marcus (10577) - Sacramento, California, USA - APR 16, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a sweet fruity aroma and a decent tan head. There is a slightly sweet smoked malt flavor with a very dry bitter chocolate finish. The alcohol is pretty well concealed. bb (9697) - Alamo, California, USA - MAR 21, 2011

Sampled at Triple Rock on a chance meeting with badlizard! Not much else to add to what he said except the huge bitter hoppy finish and potent alcohol presence that you often get with a young barley wine. Very tasty and fairly complex brew. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - FEB 2, 2011
Black with a creamy head. Good strong caramel and chocolate aroma. Caramel chocolate mild molasses and brown sugar roasted grain and a hint of toffee.
