3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ Triple Rock. Not sure if this is the same beer...but listed as a 6% saison. Anyway, turbid straw colored beer with white foam. Has some nice bread, biscuit, white pepper, and lime. There’s some sweet orange going on here, too. Maybe a touch of pear, too. Fairly mild on the esters and phenols, which is fine. Kind of on the bitter side, maybe, but okay.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. It pours a super cloudy yellow color with a small white head. It looks more like a berliner than a Saison. The aroma is very yeasty and bready with some coriander spice, orange and a touch of pepper. The flavor is a yeast bomb. Bready and lightly tart with some citrus and a spiced coriander finish. This was just tapped a couple days ago, but it tastes like I got the bottom of the keg. The bartender insisted this is the way it’s supposed to be.
