Draft at City Beer’s 5th Anniversary. Clear golden in color with a small white head. Big hoppy aroma, citrusy and herbal, with a touch of malty sweetness evident. Sweet pale malt base and great hop character, reminiscent of the Stone San Diego Session Ale. Medium-light bodied and very drinkable, crisp and refreshing. A very solid light hoppy beer overall. I’m impressed. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - MAY 7, 2011
On tap at Triple Rock. The pour is bright golden with a white head. The aroma is fresh citrus, marijuana, and florals. Very nice. The flavor is also very floral, citrusy and very dry with a potent bitter finish. Very light on the palate, but heavy on hop aroma and flavor. Great beer at 4.8% ABV. A hop lovers delight. jethrodium (366) - Berkeley, California, USA - MAY 7, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy yellow amber with a small white head that has decent lacing and leaves a couple of spots of lacing on the glass. The aroma is citrus hops with a bit of orange peel, lots of floral notes, and a bit of grass and hay. The taste follows the nose pretty closely: light grapefruit some orange, a bit of pineapple, floral hops with some caramel malt to balance it. Clean finish with a decent bitterness. Light bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall, a pretty enjoyable beer. A lot of flavor for the relatively low alcohol content. Probably one of the better Triple Rock Beers I have had. marcus (10479) - Sacramento, California, USA - APR 7, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours blonde with a decent white head and a citric floral aroma. There is a tasty caramel malt base with some excellent puckering hop bitterness. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - MAR 20, 2010
Bright yellow with a fizzy white head. Big hoppy aroma of grass, pine, marijuana and grapefruit. Similar taste with nice crisp citrus notes and decent caramel flavors to balance out the bitterness. Very good.
