Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Yeast and malt aroma with spice. Spice and malt flavor with yeast and light citrus. Medium bodied. Citrus and yeast lingers with spice. iowaherkeye (2804) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - JUN 21, 2010
On tap at Triple Rock. Kind of a protein haze thing going on. Orange with some pinkish notes and a creamy white head, small and fading to a film before long. Nose of banana Belgian yeast, light clean toasted malts, some light floral earthy hops behind. Flavor is much the same, toasty and Belgiany. Has a malt component that doesn’t blend well for me. Maybe I’m making it up, but the malt seemed a little flat? Finished earthy and semi-dry, bitterness at a 3-4. Light prickly carbonation with a medium body. Not bad at all, but I had higher hopes. Pretty nice Belgian IPA. Nose is banana and clove. Flavor is sharp hoppage and sweet complacence. Finishes clean. Yum. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUN 4, 2010
Clear golden with a short lived fluffy white head. Grain apricot orange and subtle apple aroma and taste with notes of candy sugar and citrus with a bready finish. Smooth velvetty palate. quite good.
