2014 version. The beer board said this one has EKG and Nelson hops. Weird combo, but it worked pretty nicely! It pours a clear pale gold with a small white head. The aroma is citrusy and lightly catty with hints of sauvignon grapes. The flavor is very dry, light bodied with herbal, lemony hops and some light spicy hop bitterness in the finish. Not very bitter as this one focuses more on the hop aroma and flavor. A bit watery on the palate, but nice and dry/hoppy. bhensonb (15347) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 29, 2014
Tap at the brewpub. 2014 Festivus MiracAle. Apparently changes a bit each year. EKG and NS for hop. Pours gold with a creamy near-white head. Spice and citrus aroma. Flavor of tropical fruits and citrus. Pale malt. Fresh and tasty. Dodgrblu (752) - Sacramento, California, USA - DEC 24, 2013
On tap at Triple Rock Brewing, medium disappearing head, grapefruit hop aroma, hoppy with malty finish. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 23, 2012
A - Served a clear golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades fairly quickly leaving behind some good lace.
S - Aroma is a mix of sweet caramel and biscuit malt with some pine hop and a touch of citrus.
T - Starts off with some sweet biscuit malt with a bit of caramel and a touch of pine hop and bitterness. Through the middle some more hop flavors comes through with a touch of lemon and a bit more bitterness and caramel. The finish is a mix of sweet malts with some citrus hops and light bitterness.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a crisp and sweet finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice hop and malt balance with a good level of bitterness. brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 17, 2011
A: The pour is an amber-orange sort of color with a minimal off-white head forming.
S: Smells pretty fruity and a bit sweeter than I’d like an IPA to be. Some mild tropical fruit notes along with a mix of pine needles and resin. Even with a decent hop nose, it’s pretty malt and not overly fragrant for an IPA.
T: Starts off with mostly grass and pine hops which provide a decent, but not outstanding bitterness. There really isn’t much, if any, citrus or fruit note to speak of. The bready malts sort of run the show for the most part.
M: The body is medium and so is the carbonation. Not the usual dry or bitter finish.
D: Sort of a let down, especially after having tried many of the other Triple Rock beers.

Clear orange with a fizzy white head. Nice sweet caramel and citrus aroma. Tastes of orange grapefruit and molasses with a hint of bitterness from the hops to Round it out. bb (9519) - Alamo, California, USA - JAN 12, 2009
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2010 Draft. Golden beer with a nice off-white head. Light summer fruit/grapefruit aroma. Light summer fruit flavor with light astringency. Lighter bodied - too watery. Light summer fruit lingers with light grain. Astringent.
2009 version much better with more body and no astringency.
