GABF 2008. Hazy burnished golden. Strong resinous pine needle aroma (more authentically coniferous than most). Massive grapefruit oil hop attack, long dry bitter resinous finish. Exceptional. bb (9789) - Alamo, California, USA - OCT 10, 2008
Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Nice grapefruity aroma. Grapefruit and rind flavor with some malt to back (just the right amoutn - not too present and not too dry). Medium-plus bodied. Grapefruit and rind linger with slight pine. rayOfBeer (680) - El Cerrito, California, USA - SEP 29, 2008
Poured from tap an amber-orange with thin white head. Nose is strong with floral hops and pine. Flavor jumps at you with floral hops, pine, gratefruit bitters, and a very light caramel sweetness. Overall, a great hoppy beer that has some malt balance and definitely does not seem like a 9 percenter. The after taste has a little melted plastic note that detract from the overall experience but not bad. I liked this one and could drink more. 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - SEP 24, 2008
Golden straw body with big hops upfront that dominate all aspects of the drink. Super floral and piney with enough subtle, malt sweetness to balance. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - SEP 21, 2008
Tap at brewery. Not an overly impressive DIPA. Lacked the hop punch you would expect. Not alot of anything really, was slightly better as it warmed.
