A - Served a dark black with a hint of red and a finger of frothy chocolate-tan head. The head fades down slowly leaving behind some good lace.
S - The aroma is a mix of roasted chocolate malts and some dark fruit sweetness with just a hint of booze.
T - Starts off with a mix of sweet roasted chocolate malt with some dark fruit flavor including some raisin and plum. Through the middle, some richer malt comes through alongside a bit of burnt malt flavor. The finish is a mix of roasted chocolate malt with some sweet dark fruit, vanilla, and a hint of booze.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. The beer feels smooth with a slightly warming roasted finish.

On draft at Triple Rock. New batch for 2011. It pours dark brown with a khaki head. The aroma is rich with plum, raisin and light cocoa. The flavor is similarly rich and smooth with lots of dark fruity malts and hints of roast in the finish. Carbonation is lower to give it a silky mouthfeel. Nice one. UPDATED: OCT 3, 2010 Sample at Pizza Port San Clemente. This brew is a clear dark copper color with a medium creamy off-white head that recedes slowly. Sheet of lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark malts and fruit. Medium body with flavors of caramel, earthy malt, fruit and a bit of roast. The finish is malty with a lingering earthy aftertaste. Draft. Rich mahogony beer with a dark cream colored head. Rich toffee aroma with light dark fruits. Rich caramel/toffee flavor with light smoke, light earth, and light dried fruits. Fuller bodied. Dark garnet brown with a fizzy off white head. Nice molasses toffee and raisin aroma and taste with a smooth sweet finish.
