I rated this a while back, and I just now found my notes: "Great pour. Rich chocolate, earthy mushroom. Flavors work well together. A bit unusual." BMan1113VR (7929) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 5, 2011

On cask at the PP Carlsbad Real Ale fest. It pours dark brown with a khaki head. The aroma is earthy and chocolaty. The flavor is roasted malt, some brown and chocolate malts with a distinct earthy finish that dries it out a little. Medium bitterness in the finish. marcus (10681) - Sacramento, California, USA - APR 16, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a short beige head and a treacle aroma. There is a subdued roasted malt flavor with a very dry finish. A nice porter, but the mushrooms were undetectable.
