On tap - rusty red in color with good lacing. Nice hop taste up front. Some nice malts in there as well. A bit of a grass taste. Medium thin mouthfeel. monk191 (1959) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 6, 2013
A decent if not super complex red. Pours a nice red color. Not much of any smell. Taste is nice, but a little boring. A slightly hoppy finish. Had on tap at the brewery.

A - Served a clear copper-red color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades fairly quickly leaving behind some good lace.
S - Aroma is a mix of sweet toasted caramel malts with some pine and grassy hops.
T - Starts off with some toasted caramel malts with some pine hops and light bitterness. Through the middle some more hop flavor and bitterness comes through with a bit more sweet malt. The finish is a mix of pine hop and lightly toasted malts.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a nice dry finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice red ale with a good hop and malt balance without much metallic flavor.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a lightly hazed amber-bronze hued body with a slowly fading white head. Aromas of rosewater, estery, earthy, bready, caramel with a lightly spicy hop note. Flavors are bitter, a bit chalky, chocolate, lightly estery. Lively bubbles, dry and well attenuated. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - FEB 19, 2011
It pours amber with an off white head. The aroma is lightly tropical with a touch of toasted malt. The flavor is rather dry with some toasted malts and a watery, hoppy finish. brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 17, 2011
A: The pour is amber in color with a dense khaki colored head.
S: A solid citrus hop aroma such as grapefruit and orange with a bit of floral notes, too. Plenty of sweet caramel malts, toffee, and some toasted bread character.
T: On the hoppier side of the style but still a good balance of the toffee and caramel malt along with the citrus and slightly piney hops.
M: The body is medium and so is the carbonation.
D: A nice red/amber ale, which seems to usually be a terrible style for brewpubs. Would drink this again. Ungstrup (37216) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 30, 2010
