[2/3/16] Draught at Triple Rock in Berkeley. Clear amber. Aroma of malt, caramel and some fruitiness. Sweet flavor with caramel, a bit of toast, fruitiness, a bit of alcohol. Oily mouthfeel.

A nice barleywine, hits all the notes, but doesn’t have something special. Pours a thin cloudy amber with very little head. Smells of bourbon, berries, cherries, vanilla and caramel. Taste has lots of bourbon and wine notes, kind of overwhelms everything else. Had on tap at the Brewery for SF Beer Week.

On tap @ Triple Rock. Clear copper pour with no real head to speak of. Fruity hop aromas. Lots of citrus and melon. Grape juice, caramel, toast, and brown sugar malt notes. Flavor is quite sweet. Big time grape juice, caramel, and sugar. Some toasted bread, light pine bitterness, orange, grapefruit, and melon. Not bad, just too sweet.
